"Train to Nowhere"...

Mac has been stalked for the past 3 months by a guy who calls at 3.33am every day. This episode is the conclusion of the storyline.

In episode 409, Stella receives some mysterious puzzle pieces and along with some other clues Mac has received he is lead to Chicago. The clues have directed him to a building, where he finds a dead body in an empty room on an unused floor, the word ‘coward’ is written in red paint on the wall. The local PD (who at first don’t seem too keen on Mac’s interference) establish that the guy died 30 years ago and believe that he had been buried and was recently dug up.

Sinclair sends Don Flack to Chicago to keep an eye on Mac, Sinclair is worried that Mac will embarrass the department.

The dead guy is identified as Joey Toole, and Mac knew him from his youth. Young Mac and his friend Jimmy had been there when he died. Joey had been attacking Jimmy’s brother Will, and was shot to death by Jimmy. Mac had the gun first but was frozen in fear and couldn’t pull the trigger. Will also died.

It appears that Stella, Danny and Hawkes (back in NY), and Flack and Mac in Chicago are all on the same case.

Jorja Fox talks about leaving...

Thanks to Buddytv for the following...

There was much speculation about whether or not Sara Sidle would make it out alive from her encounter with CSI's Miniature Killer. While the season premiere answered that question, the resolution was overshadowed by word that despite surviving, Sara is still not long for the CSI world…because Jorja Fox, the actress who plays her, will be leaving CSI.

Although it hasn't been definitively confirmed, multiple sources have said that she will be leaving the show this November, after failing to arrive at a resolution for a new contract. Fox herself was relatively cagey in response to questions about the matter, but did recently provide some insight into the plans for her character.

Her final show is said to air November 9, in an episode titled "Hello Goodbye." While Fox's ability to give details is limited since she is still under contract, she does give a few teasers as to how the relationship between Sara and Grissom will develop during these last few episodes with her.

She told TV Guide, “There's going to be a wealth of information that we're going to find out about Sara and Grissom in season 8. We shot five episodes so far, and I think it's going to be a really exciting, interesting season. The writers have done a phenomenal job. There have been so many twists and turns already, and little bombs that we've dropped, I'm already blown away. I'm like, ‘Where's this going? We're only in episode 5.'”

CSI producers have said that their story would conclude this season, but Jorja Fox doesn't exactly agree. She said, “I can't contradict what one of our producers said, but I can only tell you from my experience, I don't think you're going to get that. This might sound vain, but the story of Sara and Grissom is a little like a fable. And most great fables don't really have 100 percent resolution.”

It sounds as though her departure is a done deal, but she was also fired from and rehired to the show in 2004, so who knows? Maybe there is a chance that Sara Sidle will also escape from this untimely departure from the CSI world.

Season 8 Premieres tonight...

'CSI' Season 8 Premieres Tonight

September 27, 2007

William Petersen as Grissom on the seventh season finale of CSIThe seventh season finale of CBS' CSI left fans wondering about the fate of Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox), as she was last seen trapped underneath an overturned red Ford Mustang in the middle of the desert. The network and the actors have been very quiet about the particular storyline, but tonight, viewers will finally have their questions answered, as the hit crime series is set to premiere its latest season.

According to CBS, the season 8 opener, entitled “Dead Doll,” will feature the team scrambling to find out if Sara survived the attack by the miniature killer. Although this short preview doesn't really add anything to what fans already know, executive producer Naren Shankar says they will not be left hanging this time around.

"Let's just say fans will be very satisfied with how it turns out," Shankar told TV Guide. "No loose ends will be left dangling at the end of the first episode."

For those unfamiliar with CSI, the previous season ender revealed Natalie Davis (Jessica Collins), the foster daughter of Ernie Dell, to be the miniature killer. Initially, Grissom (William Petersen) and the team believed Ernie to be the serial murderer. As they were on their way to arrest him, Ernie, in an effort to end the pursuit and protect Natalie, killed himself. Natalie, holding Grissom responsible for her father's death, went after Sara, the person Grissom cares about the most.

While viewers will have to wait a few more hours to see whether Sara lives or die, speculations leaning towards the latter have been fueled by several factors. For one, TV Guide's Tim Holland pointed out in his CSI show blog that the episode title, “Dead Doll” serves as a hint, as it is in complete contrast to the seventh season finale title, “Living Doll.”

The addition of a new female character has also led many to think Sara will indeed bite the dust. The new character, Ronnie, to be played by Jessica Lucas, will begin appearing on CSI by the third episode.

On the more technical side of things, Shankar said that for the first episode of season 8, set designers built a full-scale replica of the miniature crime scene Natalie left for Grissom.

"The actors were as impressed as anybody by what we built," Shankar told TV Guide. "They came back from their time off and went, ‘Holy crap!' Everybody was pretty knocked out by this."

The eighth season of CSI premieres tonight at 9pm on CBS.

Miami: Cast talks about Cochrane's return...

Eric Delko (Adam Rodriguez) is going to see dead people — or at least a dead person. As a result of his post-traumatic stress disorder, the CSI: Miami agent will see the ghost of his fallen colleague Tim Speedle (Rory Cochrane), which will, for obvious reasons, send him into a downward spiral. "Delko is doing a good job at masking his trauma," Rodriguez told TV Guide at the CBS Monday Night Season Premiere party Sept. 19. "But I think [a meltdown] is definitely a possibility."

And while seeing the ghost is bad for Delko, Cochrane’s return is great for the cast. "I’m happy to have my buddy back," says Rodriguez, who admitted last July that he was disappointed when Cochrane abruptly quit in 2004. "It wasn’t the world he wanted to live in. He walked away to make himself happy."

Unfortunately Cochrane’s return is short-lived — he’ll only be on for two episodes. "I feel like he deserves to be here," says Emily Procter, who plays Calleigh Duquesne. "I wish he hadn’t been killed. Maybe just have gone to prison."

NY: New Promo Picture...

The new season of CSI: NY will soon be upon us and to promote it CBS has chosen to recreate a familiar and iconic New York image. Charles C Ebbets 1932 'Lunch on a Skyscraper' has been recreated featuring the stars of CSI: NY.

Anthony Zuiker, creater of the CSI franchise said, "If you look closely there is a story within the story with all of the actors." The shot will be used next week to promote the new season, which starts on Wednesday. Zuiker went on to say that there are no real clues within the shot, but there are some hints for the upcoming season.

"The devil, in this image is in the details. For example, Stella is holding an iPhone while Mac opts to lower his New York Times. Indeed a sign of the times in term of technology. Paper versus wireless. Danny and Lindsay are sharing a sandwich, but if you look closely, her toes grabbing the cuff of his jeans signifies their love for each other. In fact the two make a perfect heart. I'll leave the rest of the cast to your imagination."

Miami: 6.08 Plot Details...

Thanks to SpoilerTV for the following...

Okay folks - here we go! I did these a little differently and made it a summary since it seemed easier to write cohesively since the sides are all highly interrelated.

Denise and Roger are the parents, Colin and Brian are the children in their upper teens. They have come in from Calgary for a dream vacation in Miami. They are staying in a celebrity haunt hotel and seem to be having the time of their lives. However, the dream quickly turns into a nightmare when their son Brian is shot and killed in the elevator of the hotel. The whole family is devestated, with Roger angry, Denise is destroyed, and Colin has lost his hero.

The first suspect is Tino Mendoza, a maintenance worker at the hotel. Horatio questions him and brings up that he lives in a neighborhood that is the homebase for the violent gang Familia Cobra. Mendoza replies that THAT is why he has two jobs, to stay out of the neighborhood as much as possible. Unfortunately for Tino, the family sees him leave after being questioned. Later on, Tino is attacked while working by being hit in the head repeatedly by a wooden 2x4 from the worksite. After some questioning, and some DNA evidence via the magic that is Natalia, Colin is arrested for the attempted murder of Tino Mendoza.

There are also some huge breaks in the case of who killed Brian. It seems that when Brian's body was found he had a keycard for a room on a floor that his family's was not on. Through some investigation of the hotel elevator survaillance tapes, they find that Brian met a girl named Amy Hewitt and helped her when she almost fell. She thought Brian was sweet and gave him her keycard to come and "visit". However, when he got there after a little schmoozing Amy's boyfriend, Miguel Pena, found them together. He through Brian out, however due to Miguel's links to Familia Cobra Horatio is automatically suspicious that this was a gang initiation shooting with a personal twist. Investigation of a custom motorcycle leads them to another young man who recently became part of the gang, Vasco Torres. That, plus the recovery of the bullet links Vasco to a gun that Natalia through her magic whirring machine finds has Vasco's DNA on it. Vasco confesses, saying that Miguel made it clear that if Vasco did not do the killing then HE would be the next one killed. Amy even text messaged Miguel telling him that the killing was set-up so he could witness it (Brian should have let her fall).

After the family is informed that the killer is found, Denise walks over to Vasco and asks him if he killed her son. Vasco does not deny it, nods, and asks if she has anything to say to him. She replies no, as shooting him with the .22 in her purse seems like a much better idea to her. After Vasco goes down, Denise is then arrested. Roger looks on at the destruction that is now his family, and Horatio shares his own story with him and encourages him to strong for his family because in reality he has no choice but to be,

Later, Jack and Warrick head to a poker tournament and chase down a suspect they think is involved. As it’s a federal case Malone goes to talk with thier suspect, Tom Smythe first. Malone’s heavy handed approach doesn’t go down well with Captain Brass, who has to intervene.

NY: Star helps to Save Ellis Island...

Thanks to BuddyTV for the following...

CSI: NY star Carmine Giovinazzo has offered his support to Save Ellis Island, an organization geared towards restoring “the great national landmark and irreplaceable American icon,” which served as an entry point to over 12 million people from around the world. The organization's campaign, "We Are Ellis Island," features celebrities like Giovinazzo and ordinary citizens sharing stories of how Ellis Island is part of their respective family histories.

"My grandfather spoke Italian," Carmine Giovinazzo said as he shared his story through the "We Are Ellis Island" website. "He came over from Naples. The boat that he took left Naples [in] 1923. He arrived here in May, just two years after my grandfather from Oslo, Norway arrived here in May of 1921." Giovinazzo's grandmother also entered the United States through Ellis Island when she was only seven years old.

Born and raised in Statten Island, Carmine Giovanizzo, who plays Detective Danny Messer on CSI: NY, is very proud of his roots, saying that being a second-generation American is “pretty amazing.” He also said that visiting Ellis Island for the first time was a “really emotional” experience, adding that their family's history is very important to his mother. He also walked through Ellis Island's old buildings, which are now in poor condition, and said that he could “really feel the spirit of it.”

Aside from the CSI: NY star, other celebrities who have signed up for the cause include Elliot Gould (Friends), Katharine McPhee (American Idol), Steve Schirripa (The Sopranos), Christian Slater (My Name is Earl), John Ventimiglia (The Sopranos), Kristin Cavallari (Veronica Mars) and Richard Belzer (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit).

Save Ellis Island is a non-profit organization that aims to restore more of the buildings on the island and preserve them, giving future generations the opportunity to visit the historical area. The main building on the island currently serves as a museum.

Miami: Bags Creative Emmy...

thanks to buddytv for the following...

The 59th Creative Arts Emmy Awards were held on Saturday, September 8, and among the winners that night was CBS' CSI: Miami. The crime drama took home the award for Outstanding Stunt Coordination for the episode, “Rush.”

CSI: Miami beat four other shows in the category, namely NBC's ER and Heroes, FOX's 24 and CBS' CSI: New York, which serves as its sister series.

“Rush” is the 20th episode of CSI: Miami's fifth season. The episode followed the CSIs as they investigate the death of a film star who was killed at a rehabilitation center for celebrities.

This is the second Creative Emmy Award for the show. The series took home its first in 2003, with director of photography Michael D. O'Shea earning the award for Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera series for the episode, "The Simple Man." In 2005, the show was nominated for Outstanding Sound Editing for a Series.

Meanwhile, the sixth season of CSI: Miami is set to premiere on Monday, September 24. In describing the opening episode, the network said, "A hostage situation turns into murder, leading Horatio [David Caruso] to believe one of the suspects may be his son.”

The episode, "Dangerous Son," was written by Marc Dube and Krystal Houghton, and directed by Sam Hill.

The new season of CSI: Miami is welcoming a new face to the team, as well as ushering the return of a supposedly deceased character. As previously reported, Jessica Zohr (What About Brian, What I Like About You, That's So Raven) has been tasked to play Samantha Barrish, a young and lively A.V. tech specialist, while Rory Cochrane, who was written out of the show early in the third season, is set to reprise his role as Tim Speedle.

It is not yet known how the network intends to bring back Cochrane's character, considering Speedle was mortally wounded in the premiere episode of the show's third season. However, CBS did tell E! Online in June that Speedle's return will not be in the form of a flashback or an evil twin.

"He will be interacting with his old partner and friend, Eric Delko [Adam Rodriguez],” a spokesperson for the network said.

Las Vegas: 8.06 -Casting Sides-...

Thanks to SpoilerTV for the following...

State Trooper Robinson: He pulls over a light blue Chevy Impala and goes over to the driver's side. What he sees he does not perceive as a threat, so he relaxes his hold on his gun. Dumb move, because whatever he WASN'T afraid of shoots him three times.

Outfielder and Bloody Man: Basically, a little boy is playing baseball with his friends when a bloody man (he's all bloody, almost beyond recognition - that's how bloody he is) grabs the kid's arm and asks for help. Bloody Hell!

Anyway, there's a little bit of side info given in the sides. It seems someone was experimenting with the effect of radiation on a fetal pig for fun.

Aisha Tyler in "Death Sentence"...

Thanks to CSIfiles for the following...

Former CSI: Crime Scene Investigation star Aisha Tyler trades in her lab coat for a gun and badge.

Tyler portrays Detective Wallis in the movie Death Sentence, which also stars Kevin Bacon as Nick Hume, a vigilante out for revenge. Wallis must try to track Hume down, but Tyler said that Death Sentence is not a typical revenge movie. "This is a movie about the notion that 'an eye for an eye' leaves the whole world blind," she explained to EURweb. "Yes it's a hyper-violent, thrill ride, but it also contains some rather interesting concepts at the center, which is that violence is not the answer."

Tyler worked with real police officers before filming Death Sentence, and she said that it gave her perspective. "[T]he thing that you learn when you spend time with police officers is that they're just regular people," she said. "They've got families and a lot of the same emotional responses that we do, but they see terrible things every day." Because of this, Tyler wanted her character to be "a real person. There's all this violence kind of swirling around her, and she's sort of the moral core of the story." Tyler also said that she "wanted this character to be conflicted, because she really feels for what Nicky was going through, since he'd lost a family member incredibly violently. Yet, at the same time, she's sworn to uphold the law, and that push and pull between what she feels is right and what she knows is right is the same conflict that I think the audience is feeling when they're watching the movie."

The director of the movie, James Wan, was interested in having real stunts in the movie, rather than special effects. "Yeah, he's not a CGI guy, he's not a trickster," Tyler explained. "So, everything you see, we shot it. We made it. The result is, it feels real when you're watching it. You see a lot of action movies nowadays that look fake, but everything you see in this one really happened."

"If you just want to go and kinda get your rocks off, and see a bunch of stuff blow up and get some great action, you're going to get it from this movie," she said. "But if you want to appreciate the more sophisticated levels in the story's plot and in the dialogue, those are there, too." She also felt that Death Sentence had a message. "The movie is really saying, 'Violence solves nothing,'" she said. "Not only that, but, 'It will escalate to the point where you cannot extricate yourself from the situation that you've created.'"

The role of Detective Wallis was not originally meant for a black actress. "It was for a 50 year-old white guy," Tyler said. Wan made the decision to cast Tyler instead. "He has seen me on 24, loved my character, and wanted me to do something like that," she said. "He wanted a really strong female character who could bring an emotional element to the movie." Tyler likes playing intelligent characters like Wallis. "I'd be plenty happy, if I could keep playing scientists and cops for the rest of my career," she said.

More Character Discussions...

Thanks to BuddyTv for the following...

A lot of fans, as well as cast members, are eager for the premiere of CSI season 8 on Thursday, September 27. Jorja Fox and William Petersen have already fueled the excitement by talking about their characters on the CBS forensic drama. Meanwhile, here's what George Eads and Gary Dourdan have to say about their respective roles on the show.

Eads, who plays hair and fiber analyst Nick Strokes on CSI, says there's a thin line between him and his character.

"Sure, I think he's a lot different from myself," he told WOWOW. “But at the same time, we're the same person. It's almost like he's Batman and I'm Bruce Wayne."

Since landing the role in 2000, Eads, as well as the fans, has seen his character go through a lot of positive changes.

"I think Nick used to want to be a good CSI 'cause he wanted to please [Gil] Grissom [William Petersen], and now he wants to be a good CSI to fight for those victims that can't fight for themselves anymore. I think he's completely matured and come full-circle," he said.

Eads' character, Nick, has always considered Grissom as a father figure and along the way, has even picked up a few of his mannerisms. He describes Nick's relationship with Grissom like that of an “apprentice and wizard” since Grissom serves as an inspiration who acts what he preaches.

As for Dourdan, who plays the audio-video analyst Warrick Brown on CSI, he also has a lot to say about his character's relationship with Grissom. Despite the difference on how they approach their job, they maintain a good rapport. While Warrick "takes what is happening in the streets and turns it into science," Grissom takes the science and "applies it to life." Like Nick, Warrick also sees Grissom as a mentor and a father figure.

In addition to the actors' characters' relationship with Grissom, they also describe their relationship with each other. According to Dourdan, his character's close bond with Eads is important to him since their friendship goes way beyond the camera.

NY: Featuring Will Dailey's First single...

thanks to buddytv for the following...

Aside from the procedural drama, another thing to look forward to in the upcoming season of CSI: NY is the television debut of Will Dailey's first single. The singer-songwriter will be performing his single, “Rise,” in a special episode on Wednesday, October 17, two weeks after the release of his album Back Flipping Forward on October 2.

The album marks the first release from the newly launched CBS Records, a label that combines traditional music marketing with direct integration of its artists' music into television programming on the CBS and CW networks.

Dailey, who won the 2006 Boston Music Award for Best Male Singer-Songwriter, will also be featured in a commercial following his episode on CSI: NY, which will “back announce” his performance and inform the viewers that the song and the album are available for purchase.

Dailey earned positive feedback after his performance in Los Angeles in July and was invited to perform early August on CSI: NY in a scene with lead star Gary Sinise (Mac Taylor).

“I did three songs, starting with 'Rise,' just me, solo acoustic,” Dailey, who was spotted by CSI creator and executive producer Anthony Zuiker, said. “I was a little shocked when he pulled me aside and said he'd like to put me in the show. It was a little hard to believe and pretty surreal.”

Back Flipping Forward includes songs that Dailey has worked on over a three-year span as inspired by the people he encountered while playing a series of cross-country tours. In addition to “Rise,” the upcoming album also features tracks like “Boom Boom,” “Bi Polar Baby,” “Dear Grace.”

“There are a lot of characters in songs like 'Hollywood Hills' and 'Eliza,' talking about fleeing to Mexico, spinning the tale of something that's definitely not the true life of a guy hanging out in Boston," Dailey explained. “'Within songs as ‘Good To Me' and ‘Undone,' the ideas of redemption and restlessness play out as if in an early Bruce Springsteen song.”

NY: More on Halloween Episode...

Thanks to CSIFiles for the following...

Danny and Lindsay go out of town to investigate a spooky murder while Mac and Stella stay behind to deal with a zombie.

According to CSI Files sources, "Boo" begins with two grave diggers shoveling dirt into a grave. The older man tells his young counterpart the meaning of the phrase "saved by the bell," explaining that it was a means to ensure that someone who had been buried was actually dead. If they were alive, the bell that had been attached to their hand by a string would ring, letting the people working the graveyard shift know to dig them back up.

The younger man freaks out when he hears the distinct sound of a bell ringing, but he isn't amused when the older man starts to laugh and pulls a bell out of his pocket. Suddenly, a hand erupts from the grave they are filling in, grabbing the older man's ankle and causing him to yell for help. The younger man flees as a zombie pushes his way out of the grave. The same zombie becomes part of a group moving through Times Square. People run away, screaming, as the zombies advance up Broadway.

Meanwhile, Danny drives through Long Island with Lindsay in the passenger seat. They pass a sign proclaiming that they are entering the Village of Amityville. Children in their Halloween costumes are trick-or-treating, but Danny and Lindsay head for the sight of crime scene tape and flashing lights. As they get out of the car and approach the house, Chief Benson walks up to them, clearly upset by what has occurred.

Danny and Lindsay have been called in because the local team is busy with another case. The Duncan family has been murdered--the bodies of the mother, father and two sons are in the house, but the family's daughter is missing. Chief Benson shows them a picture of the Duncan family and points out the missing girl, Reena. He tells them that there is no sign of breaking and entering, and that this is looking like a murder-suicide with the father wielding the gun. He tells them that the media will be all over this case because the house is considered cursed: more than thirty years ago, a man shot himself there, and a few days later his daughter disappeared. Chief Benson dismisses the idea of a curse, saying that there has to be another explanation for Gil Duncan to murder his own family.

As they look through the house, Lindsay hears something. When she follows the sound, she finds a wall leaking blood. Spooked, she calls to Danny and aims his flashlight at the wall when he arrives. She tells him to be quiet, and they hear the sound of a person moaning. Danny retrieves a crowbar and rips at the wall. When they tear the materials away, they find the source of the sound: Reena Duncan, still in her Halloween costume, bleeding from a shotgun wound to her chest. Danny picks her up and rushes to get her some help.

When Reena is taken to the hospital, Danny and Lindsay must go back to processing while they wait for news. As Lindsay works, she hears a noise. Suddenly, an old woman appears, grabbing Lindsay's arm and telling her to leave before the house kills her. Lindsay tries to follow the woman but loses her in a hidden passageway within the home's walls. Meanwhile, Mac and Stella investigate the death of a 'zombie' with a head wound that might literally spell out a clue as to how he died.

Please note that the above plot details have not been confirmed by CBS, Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films, and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour. The above information comes from early script drafts and the details of the episodes are liable to change before the episodes are shown.

"Boo" is expected to air October 31, 2007.

Miami: Producers dishes on Seaosn 6...

Thanks to BuddyTV for the following...

Life will never be the same for Eric Delko. CSI: Miami producer Corey Miller hints that fans will see the fingerprint and drug identification expert dealing with the aftermath of his brain injury when season 6 airs on September 24.

In the last season of CSI: Miami, Eric Delko, portrayed by Adam Rodriguez, was shot in the head and was nearly killed from a shootout with men hired by Clavo Cruz (Gonzalo Menendez). Following various revival attempts and tense surgery, he survives but struggles with memory loss and the frustration of relearning the basics of his work with the Miami-Dade Crime Lab.

According to Miller, Eric's injury is a life-altering event for the character, making it very difficult to go back to the way things were before.

"This turn of events will affect him for the rest of his life," Miller told the official Yahoo group for Adam Rodriguez.

"Brain injuries have been called a silent epidemic, with so many people suffering in silence, misunderstood," the CSI: Miami producer explained. "What we have been able to learn through our research is that people with these types of brain injuries will never be the same as they once were. With proper medication and care, some semblance of the person's former life may be restored. But they will never look at things the same way again. Completing what used to be mundane tasks may now be a huge struggle. And no two injuries are alike, because the brain is such an amazing, complex organ."

As a CSI, Eric's job is not easy. But his injury has made it even more complicated to perform his tasks.

"[N]ot only will Delko have to try and do a complicated job and do it correctly, he will have physical and emotional effects to deal with as well," Miller said. "Not to mention that a portion of the sniper's bullet still rests in his brain, and could kill him at any moment. There is still a long road ahead of him."

Miller also brings some light to the hinted romance between Eric and Calleigh Duquesne (Emily Procter) during season 5. Although Miller didn't give any details, he gives his views on what is or isn't going on between the two.

"We began to think of Calleigh and Eric as a possible couple after Delko was shot," he said. "There are many things that keep people apart romantically, and Calleigh and Eric were always too professional to do anything but occasionally flirt with each other. When Delko was shot, Calleigh was right by his side. And we thought that would be an interesting way to make them closer – because of Delko's brain injury, he may perceive things in a different way. He began to read into everything, and possibly mistook concern for affection."

"Just when these feelings could potentially be explored, Calleigh had already begun to see Jake [Johnny Whitworth]. Again, just more potential for drama…there will be complications. If there weren't, everything would be too easy," he added.

Miami: Miller gives info...

Corey Miller promises that fans will see Eric Delko (Adam Rodriguez) dealing with the aftermath of his brain injury in the sixth season of CSI: Miami.

Miller told Sara from the official Yahoo group for Adam Rodriguez that Eric will continue to be affected by the injury he sustained during season five. "This turn of events will affect him for the rest of his life," he said. Being shot in the head changed the character, and Miller said that things can never go back to the way they were before.

"Brain injuries have been called a 'silent epidemic,' with so many people suffering in silence, misunderstood," Miller explained.

Being a CSI is not an easy job, and it is made even more difficult by the injury that Eric sustained.

Season five also hinted at a little bit of romance between Eric and Calleigh Duquesne (Emily Procter). Miller gave his take on what is--or isn't--going on between them.

Miller went on to say that, "just when these feelings could potentially be explored, Calleigh had already begun to see Jake [Berkeley (Johnny Whitworth)]. Again, just more potential for drama." Miller wouldn't reveal what might happen in season six, but he did say that "there will be complications. If there weren't, everything would be too easy."

Despite the fact that fans are getting glimpses into the private lives of the characters, Miller said that the "philosophy around here is to treat our characters' personal lives as ongoing mysteries in their own right." They will give hints about what happens after hours, but the show is not going to follow the characters home. "When the first CSI started, the edict was always, 'we don't go home with our characters,'" Miller said. "Meaning: we only get to know the characters through their work. This edict became a rule for all the CSI shows. So the challenge has always been how to have personal stories when you can't see the characters after they clock out for the day." Even though the team will only be shown in a work environment, Miller promised that there was something in store for everyone in season six. "We have come up with some character arcs for all of our people, and hope that by the end of the season they will all have evolved in some fashion," he said.

Miller also spoke about Miami's lead character and his signature mannerisms. "David Caruso determined the physicality of Horatio Caine before he shot a frame of film on the CSI crossover – the sunglasses, the body posture, the attitude," he explained. "And it's distinctiveness has given the character an iconic status – like it or not, you won't forget it. That was all deliberate on David's part. We're the number one show in the world right now, and a large reason for that is due to the fact that David has made Horatio Caine a larger-than-life hero, a modern-day Dirty Harry."

One thing that fans have noticed is that Horatio has spent more time being a cop and less time being a CSI over the years. "It is true that Horatio doesn't do as much lab work as he did in early seasons," Miller agreed. "I think that as our show became more action-oriented, Horatio got out of the lab environment more and more. If the need arises, he will process evidence." Miller also talked about other characters on the show, including Alexx Woods. "All of the writers love Khandi Alexander and we agree that she was shamefully underused last season. We hope to give her a chance to shine much more this season. She and her character deserve it."

Miller also weighed in on online fan interaction. "I can't tell you that the writers have never seen the message boards," Miller said, "but we do try to stay away from them as a rule, because we need to do what we do without feeling we are somehow being swayed by every random opinion that happens to be the topic of the day." He went on to say that "[i]t's wonderful that people like the show so much that they love to discuss it, but we need to do what we feel is right creatively in the moment."

He also spoke about criticism from both fans and the press. "When you're on a hit show, there's no way to exist in a vacuum," he said. "You're going to hear criticism at some point. Television is a very intimate experience on many levels. People feel closer to characters that they let into their homes week after week, so their opinions can be much stronger about what they do or do not like. Negativity in general is the biggest stumbling block to creativity. We try as hard as we can to see our own show as objectively as possible, and make adjustments as we go. But for the most part, we have to stick with our instincts and then stand by them, right or wrong."

When asked what was in store for season six, Miller wouldn't give away much. "Twenty-four episodes," he said. "And at least twenty-four murders. What, you want more than that? Ha. Hey, I wish I could give away some secrets, but I value my job too much! All I'll say is, like I mentioned earlier, we are going to try and do cases with more personal stakes for our CSIs this season." And where does he see the show in five years? "Hopefully still on the air!"

NY: Star set for another concert...

Thanks to BuddyTV for the following...

CSI: NY's Gary Sinise is all set for yet another concert following his performance along with his Lt. Dan Band at the Whitman Theater at Brooklyn College earlier this month to raise funds for a memorial wall intended to honor fallen heroes.

Sinise and his band will perform on Sunday, September 2 at The Club at the Cannery Hotel in Las Vegas, as part of its military appreciation show, which also includes a color guard presentation and the singing of the national anthem.

Nowadays, many actors have ventured into the music business, aiming for a more fame and fortune. For Sinise, however, his attachment to the music industry is driven by passion and, most importantly, his eagerness to help charities and bring attention to causes such as honoring America's heroes.

Sinise and his band plays about 30 to 40 gigs a year, often touring around the country and performing for military men and women. Of course, being on a show like CSI: NY, where he plays Mac Taylor, helps draw in the crowd.

“It's amazing how big CSI is. I just did a USO tour with the band over in Germany and Belgium, and one of the bases we played at over there was the NATO headquarters in Belgium. There are 26 different nations represented there, with military and their families from all these different countries - and that was the wildest show we played on the tour. It was completely packed and they just screamed form the beginning to the end. I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that a lot of these folks had seen me in CSI: NY and CSI is big over there and that's why they showed up,” he told Jerry Fink of the Las Vegas Sun.

Although being on CSI: NY eats up most of his time and sometimes hinders him from participating on tours, he still feels fortunate to be part of the series.

“You know what, it's a great job and I'm just going to enjoy it while it's here. I'm not going to be doing this series forever or anything like that but while it's here it's a good group of folks. It's lucrative. It's within a short little drive of where I live, five minutes from where my kids go to school. It's a great opportunity and I'm blessed to have it,” he said.

“During the TV season we can't go overseas or do any type of extensive tours. What we do is get on a plane and fly to a gig and then fly back home in time for work. We do that several times a year. Then during my hiatus from the show we usually take some type of a tour. Last year we went to Germany and Belgium for 12 or 13 days. The year before that we did a 10-day bus tour around the Midwest and played five or six military bases, did a little USO tour. Usually on the show's 11-week hiatus we'll spend some time touring, like two weeks ago we played in Chicago at a big troop-support festival there. Had about 11,000 people show up. It was great,” he added.
